Happy Friday, Ladies!
The heat and humidity has slacked a little bit for us (at least yesterday and today) which makes me (and the overworked a/c) happy :)
Today I have several things to share. First, the last two layouts that I created with the July Birds of a Feather Kit. This kit was so much fun to work with, and I love how I could get two totally different looks from one kit. In fact, I showed that with these last two layouts. Both of them are about soccer, but I ended up with two totally different looks.
This first layout is for Zack, Mr. Soccer, himself. I used a picture from the fall season, which was his first with the high school team. He was the only freshman to be a varsity starter, and this picture shows why. He will always fight for the ball, and won't give up until he wins. Also, he had to work hard to get his starting position (he beat out the Asst. Coach's son, who was a junior), busting his rear during the summer and pre-season to prove to the coaches that he was the one.
For this layout, I went with the cardstock and Jillibean Soup papers from the kit.
This second layout was created for my favorite MLS soccer team, the New England Revolution. I've been a huge fan of theirs ever since I started watching soccer. When I saw the Authentique papers, I knew they would be perfect for this layout because the Revolutions colors are red, white and blue.

As you can see, this kit was full of possibilities. You can see what the other Scrap Chicks created HERE
Well, I'm off for now, but please check back later today for a look at the August Birds of a Feather Kit AND a super exciting announcement ;)
